Alan Pitt

DipPFS Financial Planning Consultant

Alan has over 40 years’ experience in Financial Services. Having spent much of his career promoting insurance company products and investment management services to the IFA community, he decided that he would get far greater job satisfaction by providing financial advice directly to clients.

Alan says, “working hard and meeting sales targets has its own rewards but never really gives you the job satisfaction of knowing that you have helped a client to satisfy their financial needs”.

For the first 10 years of his career, he provided administration services for defined benefit (final salary) pension schemes to a managerial level and then moved to the north-west of England to pursue a career in group and personal pension sales to the IFA community. Working for two major UK life insurance companies over the following 11 years, he developed a keen interest in investments and joined a firm providing stockbroking and investment management services as a Business Development Manager in 1998.

After 13 years in investment management, Alan attained a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning in 2012 to fulfil his ambition to become an Independent Financial Adviser. He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Personal Finance Society.

Alan has been married for 30 years and lives in Penwortham, Preston with his wife and two children. He enjoys walking, cooking, D.I.Y. and motor sport (mostly spectating).
